Debbie has over 20 years of experience working in private practice, as well as in-house as commercial and general counsel for both privately held and public companies. Her experience with start-ups to established corporations spans a variety of industries, including professional services, health care, technology, and manufacturing. As a member of the Commercial Team at AlphaTech Counsel, S.C., she advises technology enabled companies across diverse industries on matters related to commercial contracts, intellectual property licensing, sales, marketing, employment and compliance issues.

After years serving as in-house counsel and as an entrepreneur once herself, Debbie has a unique blend of legal and business acumen and a true appreciation for the challenges companies face. She makes it a priority to take a proactive approach and provide practical counsel to clients, anticipate and identify potential risks and challenges, and align legal strategies with clients’ business objectives. In her free time, Debbie enjoys spending time with family, friends, her horses and border collies.

Jason leverages his deep expertise in intellectual property law to assist clients in navigating emerging technologies and safeguarding sensitive data. He directly advises them on complex licensing agreements, compliance strategies, and emerging privacy regulations. Jason stays passionate about operating on the cutting edge of legal issues at the intersection of law and technology, which led him to actively pursue and obtain CIPP/US and CIPT certifications.

With experience as a US Navy veteran, Jason understands firsthand the dedication required to actively defend rights and achieve successful outcomes for clients. He works as a strategic legal partner, protecting what matters most to each client. This allows them to remain focused on actively growing innovative ideas that disrupt the marketplace. When not actively immersing himself in the latest technology law developments, Jason unwinds with his dogs, family game nights, and loved ones. He would greatly value the opportunity to serve as your trusted legal advisor, actively guiding you through the ever-changing legal landscape related to privacy, licensing, and intellectual property.

Jason comes to AlphaTech (and the Midwest) by way of the South, so don't be surprised by the "y'alls" that pepper his emails. Jason's previous experience includes working at a Mid-Atlantic Am Law 200 firm and in-house at a publicly traded, international software company.

Ronnie is one of AlphaTech Counsel’s Corporate Attorneys, representing venture backed startups in preferred stock financings, restructurings, mergers, and asset sales, all with a mindful eye on maximizing tax efficiency due to his LLM in Taxation. He also assists with corporate governance matters and keeps up with company compliance obligations, including the recently passed Corporate Transparency Act. Ronnie started his legal career with a venture capital firm investing in fintech before making a lateral move to a California law firm. Although Ronnie left California to join AlphaTech, he was born and raised in Georgia, and finds Madison just as warm and friendly as his childhood hometown.

Julie is a paralegal with AlphaTech Counsel, S.C. with over 20 years of experience in the legal field. She assists clients and AlphaTech attorneys primarily with corporate matters, including entity formation, financing transactions, equity administration, and corporate record maintenance, as well as mergers, conversions, acquisitions, and reorganizations. She also drafts and edits many corporate, investor financing, and acquisition documents and agreements. In addition, Julie assists with various labor and employment issues and agreements. Julie earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining AlphaTech, she was a legal assistant/paralegal in a large national law firm. She is a member of the Paralegal Association of Wisconsin and NALA. In her free time, Julie enjoys kayaking and hiking with her husband, Matt, in and around Lake Wisconsin near their home. She has two grown daughters, Paige and Olivia.

Hayden is the Corporate Finance Specialist at AlphaTech Counsel, where he plays a pivotal role in managing clients' capitalization tables and equity records, as well as developing customized financial models for clients navigating financings and other transactions. Not only is Hayden renowned as AlphaTech's local Excel wizard, whose expertise significantly streamlines processes and provides invaluable insights, but he also plays a crucial role in assisting with AlphaTech's internal financial reporting. This dual focus ensures that both AlphaTech and its clients have a clear, accurate financial picture, which is essential for strategic decision-making. When he's not organizing his life in a spreadsheet, Hayden enjoys reading a good book or cooking for his girlfriend, Isa.

Rachael joined AlphaTech Counsel, S.C. as our legal assistant in May 2023, after deciding to brave Wisconsin winters after almost 20 years living in Austin, Texas. She brings over a decade of experience in areas such as customer service, administration, office management, human resources, and IT to the firm. When she’s not working, she can be found hitting the trails around her home with her two dogs or deeply immersed in a book.

Todd is the office and IT administrator for AlphaTech Counsel, S.C. He assists with the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring the team has the necessary tools to work effectively. He enjoys the challenges that arise as the IT landscape evolves and is ready to respond. Prior to joining the team, Todd provided 12+ years of on-site IT support for corporate clients in Dallas, TX. Todd is a fan of vintage homes and is currently enjoying life with his family in their 1893 Victorian.

Kristi is the Human Resources Manager for AlphaTech Counsel, S.C. Kristi has 25 years of HR experience with both large and small businesses. Kristi is passionate about supporting her great team and is always ready to find new and engaging ways to bring in staff. She is responsible for providing guidance and leadership for all aspects of the HR function. Kristi is an active volunteer with 4-H and she enjoys gardening, raising rabbits and chickens (that she may sneak in for “bring your pet to work day”) and antiquing for fun finds!
